Mac is good for that. If you need to carry it around too then get it. Best battery life

Nice try, Macbook air 11" aint even out for a year yet...

"I'm really keen on a mac laptop, I want a cheap one but also one with some power behind it."

Ivy was trying to give you choices instead of a mac and he is clearly giving you reasons to get an alternative if you have a lower budget.

So if you're against windows pc why bother posting this thread? Go on and buy it!

You are missing my point. You shouldn't have made the thread if you didn't want other opinions on what would be more efficient. Whether you like it or not, a Windows based PC would be far more efficient.

    Example:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215239

You get the thin profile, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing aspects of the Macbook Air with the compatibility of Windows, CLEARLY better specs (13.3" vs 11", 2GB vs 4GB RAM, 240GB SSD vs 64GB SSD, etc) all at the same exact price point.

Like I said, if you had your mind made up on a Macbook Air, which you obviously did considering you got mad at me suggesting a Windows alternative, you shouldn't have made this thread. Either take the advice we're trying to give you (which is only for your benefit, by the way) or don't bother posting. Spending the same amount of money for a clearly inferior product is retarded... point blank.. but feel free. It's either your or your parents money your wasting, not mine :).
