How to verify a Visa Vanilla gift card on PayPal?

So I bought a Visa gift card today to add to my PayPal. Everything was fine until the last stage where it says link and confirm your card. I hit continue and it says

We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.

Can anyone help? I have everything entered correctly and even registered on Vanillavisa.com Should I call PayPal?

 

You just have to register the card on the cards site...then wait a little bit, it might take a while to be updated...You also have to make sure that the information is the same on both sites...

Next time, I would suggest maybe getting a vanilla mastercard...I recently got one, bought gold off of r2pleasent, it was added to my paypal within minutes...

Also, I think maybe to add these types of cards, you have to have a real credit card added to your account (unless it's already fully verified)

I would suggest that you go out and buy a visa debit card (one where you pay like a 20 dollar registration fee and add a balance to it) they are refillable and in your own name..it basically is a REAL credit card and you can get one when you're 16 I think...

I wouldn't suggest calling paypal, as I don't think you are allowed to add gift cards to your paypal (although it does work)

 

I tried to use one once and never could get it to work. I used green dot successfully for a bit until I linked my bank account with paypal.
