Where to train Strength?

I know theres a ton of these threads but I want to know the best place to train for my level.

Since the pure I was working on got locked, I'm back to training my barrows pure atm and my levels are:

Attack: 70
Strength: 73
Defence: 70

What would be the best place to train Strength? Xp per hour rates would help a ton and what would be the best weapon/armour setup for my level?

Armoured zombies is a fantastic spot to train your melee stats. I just got 99 attack there on my Barrows pure.

You are a bit low for that spot at the moment though, so if I were you, I would train at bandits until your stats are 80-85 and then do Defender of Varrock and switch over there for the increased exp.

 

I'd say Ghouls if you've done priest in peril or in the Warriors Guild by simply getting defenders, that's pretty decent exp per hour.

Weapon choice for strength at your level: Dragon Scim or SS

 

I would train with Guthans at Bandits. You might need a bit of food tho, or a spot where you don't get attacked by more than 2 at the same time.

 

Bandits are good, don't use guthan's though - it's horrible xp/h because you hardly deal any damage

You could also train at giant spiders in stronghold as stui pointed out. With your defence level they won't hit you for a lot.

Skeletons in the chaos tunnels are also a great place to train if you have salve ammy (e). They're low enough level that you shouldn't have a lot of trouble killing them. Bring a dragon 2h sword for specs as it will hit multiple npc's at once and is better than claws or dagger in multicombat spots with lots of npc's on you.

Go to the dominion tower and fight count draynor. Just bring pots and pray pots (for piety/turm). He's only lvl 36 but if you don't have a stake and hammer he will never die. So you basically just have to click him every 2 minutes and stay potted. I heard it's over 100k xp/hr.

It seems as if this was just patched recently. I immediately looked into this when you mentioned it, as it sounded great, but I found this:
