Why are we re-doing all the sticky's?

Any specific reason?
All of them have been redone/are in the process of being redone, some with the exact same text...

 

Most are being updated to reflect most recent staff decisions, and incorporate recent experiences/suggestions from users. Many were also very unprofessional and too vague, allowing for people to bend the rules and still manage to stay outside of jurisdiction. Several rules have also been updated to be less open to interpretation.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with a fresh start for the new year!

 

Yesterday I was re-making ones made by banned members as it doesn't give a good impression on newer members. Having new member see ex-mod banned can give a distrust in the staff. I don't know if I can say the other reason.

 

I'm all for it, although nothing against you cosrob, but can we have someone who is an OMM do the OMM requirements thread?

 

PM Nick and ask him to write it. It makes sense that the HMM makes the requirements for OMM applications.

 

I've spoken w/ Cosrob as well as Nick regarding this.

Cosrob agreed that it's better off having an OMM make the thread, so I've gone ahead and done so.

Nick agreed. I asked him if he'd rather re-make it, but he says that it's fine.

 

We're looking to get rid of those made by banned users, and some users asked to have the stickies remade under another person's name. We're simply honoring their request.

Looks like N4n0 and I have commandeered many of the middleman stickies. Hoorah official middleman.
