Runescape Crashing

I've been trying to play for the past hour or so and it crashes every minute or so. Anyone else having the same problem? I've never had this problem.

 

It was happening to me yesterday, have you downloaded the Runescape client?

 

I don't think it's crashed recently for me.

But define crash? (Black screen, auto-log out, etc).

 

Like Ryan said, I recommend you have the runescape client downloaded.

 

It literally says "Runescape Has Crashed. BLAH BLAH BLAH"

I've been using other clients like Swiftkit. Should I get the client?

 

Yes, download the client from the website. It works much better then from the website.

 

Yes, it is much better than other clients or the web client, and it may help you with your problem.

 

Actually I might disagree with that. The mac version of the runescape client has been far more reliable then the swiftkit client from what I have seen.

Client, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer its gay cause i was tryin 2 sell gold this morning and the guy sent me the money and i had 2 refund cause i couldnt login

To all those saying rs runs better on the rslient i find that false swiftkit tends to run better for me.

Try reinstalling java and try to dissable any advertisements on your client

 

Imagine playing Crysis or some shit- your computer would of imploded sucking you into another dimension. Generally a white screen means your cpu was too much and your computer had to cut back on a process you were using and I'm guessing it chose Runescape. Another sign of a crash is if you have iTunes on or something the music stops. You have to lower the settings somewhere, because most Computers (Toshibas and Sonys') have been proven not to handle high quality games, especially Laptops. With Laptops, you may see it smart to play Runescape low quality, because Laptops are not design to do smooth Java related game play, as Desktops are.

 

I have problems where it stays on checking for updates 98% (8) and it gets stuck there for ages.

 

- Reinstall Java.

- Reinstall your Internet Browser(s)/ try a different browser.

- Clear the Jagex cache.

- Try using the RS Client, I've heard people have more luck with that than running it off the website.

 

have not crashed for me at all, im using the runescape client.
