Runescape still worth playing?

Hey guys, I'm currently bored an in need of a good PvP somewhat balanced & fun MMO. Currently playing/retiring from WoW PvP.

I see Runescape has 30-80k people on at a time. Of course more people would be on during peak time.
I used to play during the 2004-2006 years of RS. Pking was the best, great rewards. PKing with friends made it all worth while. Dominating that Hill giant place in the wild and just camping out for people. F2P Pking, Those were the days.

Is Runescape still worth playing right now? or do people just use it for the black market? and I would like to play it as a main, not a pure. Just to enjoy all the quests and the new bosses that RS has now.

It IS worth it. But, it is best if you have a good account. (60+ att, 90+ str, 90+ ranged, 94 mage, 1-70 def). It is harder to pk now, people are DAMN good at pking. But, to each his own. I personally like to pk now, it is difficult like wow, you have to be the best at w/e you do. Like, on my hunter, if I cant counter an opposing class, I lose. U kinda get what im saying?

 

i hate runescape now only time i go on there is to buy or sell gold or to collect it from gfx sales

 

I took a 2 year break and I'm now getting right back into the game. It's much better now than it was last year and the year before that, so I would strongly suggest trying it out.

 

It's mostly revolved around money to be honest, still worth trying out, just don't get addicted

 

Give it a try, it's much better than it was a few months ago.

 

Hardly any bots about, so there's a lot more time and space to level up. Some people have reported the game lags like fuck since the nuke though. It's becoming World of Warcraft, but it's still enjoyable.

 

It's still a nice game to play passively. Wouldn't make it my "main" game anymore, if you know what I mean.

 

Runescape is ALWAYS worth playing, cmon man.

 

New updates are going very good, if you enjoy playing without bots then this is your time, free trade like in the past, staking, graphics are nice...
But only thing is that the community blows, gf son lmfao dickhead dickfuck retard retarded, people like that are getting a bid nerdish of playing rs.

 

this game was only worth playing pre 2008. best times were post 2007 into 2008 with hunter followed by IP lures, house lures, jojo lures. AGS lures in BH crater with my clan Infamous Pkers. n0 death bug in BH. pk in full dh firecape 2hit someone.

 

I agree 100% with you there.
IMO, the best times were with the 317 Graphics and Godsword Stances,
but these graphical updates always seem to ruine the game.

 

It's much better after the bot nuke, so you can give it a try.

Runescape is a fine game to play. I honestly like it more since I had the opportunity to bot up all my stats, and now I just stick to the fun stuff.

 

It is, if you're willing to spend IRL money for GP, as it's the only way of income nowadays.
