Extremely easy to learn / Pick-up.
It's quite demanding on time though, if you don't have time to do a few dungs a day it'll seem like it takes forever.

The game doesn't really start until you hit 85 though.

I'd suggest playing a mage / Druid for your first character, both really easy to play & user friendly.

I wouldn't say it's hard, but it requires some dedication - Not nearly as much as Runescape though.

I totally agree with Lym, you choose the difficulty which you play at. You can play at the easiest raiding level with the new Looking for Raid function, or at the hardest level with a guild in heroic versions.

You can even choose not to raid at all and have decent gear just off dungeons :)

It's not really the "grind" it used to be either. Blizzard has done a really good job at making leveling and all aspects of the game fun, so you're going to enjoy yourself all the way to 85, and then the real action begins.

At some points it is a little bit 'grindy', but that doesn't necessarily make it hard.

Basically, it's hard if you want it to be. Casual if you don't.

Easy to pick up, hard to master.

Unless you play an arcane mage, that is.

From what I see, it's very grindy post-85, but low level content is done well.

Just a General Question on WoW

A little off-topic here, but I have the opposite question of the OP.

In your opinion, what class is the hardest to master/level, not in terms of grinding, but in terms of complexity with character involvement?

Hope that makes sense, haha. I can't think of the correct word usage to put it in.

Really depends. Each class has a certain resource to maintain. However, If I had to pick one, I'd opt with the warlock for DPS and a priest for healing

Warlock DPS requires constant management of your DoT spells and you also have to work on managing your pet in the heat of battle, whilst keeping up with your large arsenal of spells.

Priests have the largest toolbox of healing spells which allow them to cover most possible situations. Therefore, there is a lot of nitpicking and complexity involved with choosing the proper spell for the proper situation. You're not just limited to a certain niche, like other healers.

I feel like mastering Feral Druid DPS is probably one of the hardest thing to do in the game.

Aside from pvp the games pretty easy. Have you tried feral lately? They dumbed it down!

    they dumbed everything down imo.

You used to be able to wipe in dungeons while leveling, now there's no skill/teamwork required at all, which is kind of sad. Also everything is way cheaper than it used to be so you don't need to farm much money
