My experience with YEHA X D and further investigation.

So, yesterday I decided I wanted to sell my playdota.com dota 2 beta keys, and started googling forums about online goods trading, that's how I found you guys and how I decided to register.

I opened my post, everything going slow as expected, then this guy YEHA X D PM's me and asks me what my skype is. For you all to know, my skype so far has been something 100% for real life friends and family, nothing else, no internet friends at all.

So, Yeha X D adds me to skype under the account "infymaina", 2 minutes later, a guy Named Busta305 under the account Busta305sythe adds me, I was surprised because this guy had "I have X vouches in sythe blablabla" in his skype nickname, so I thought Yeha X D could have shared my info with a friend, didn't know by then.

My conversation with Yeha didn't last long, he appeared interested but then refused to buy my keys because the steam account I activated them with doesn't let me trade through steam, "whatever" I said.

Then this Busta305sythe guy asks me for the beta keys, stating he wants to buy both, I say, ok, money first, then keys, he goes like "I'm a well known member on Sythe and vouched by many, so you go first", to which I reply, ok, I will take that, but first PM me on the forums so I can confirm it's you, to which he replies:

    [18/12/2011 13:36:35] Busta305: i'm using my phone atm
[18/12/2011 13:36:44] Busta305: got only skype and paypal program for android

From that moment on it started smelling fishy, so I decided to investigate a bit further and went to check Busta305 profile, to my surprise (well, that's a lie, I wasn't surprised but happy of my detective skills) Busta305's skype is "Busta305", which confirmed the scam attempt.

Here I am sitting and thinking, how the hell did this guy reach me? And just like 2+2=4 comes to your mind, Yeha X D came to mine, the only guy who had my skype account tried to scam me.

I didn't want to go public with this, so I contacted a moderator (link)
about this matter for assistance, and this same morning I found out Yeha X D saying he wants to finally buy my keys, but that I should go first.

Since I already was onto him, I decided to google this:

Since the forum search doesn't find any Yeha for being too common apparently. And here he was, asking why he was banned, with a moderator replying "ban evasion"

Since I saw this, I told him to go first, since he was banned it should be understandable, he of course refused to do so, saying he has a reputation and what not, and that he'd get unbanned within 3 days, I explained him his reputation is worth nothing when he's banned, and told him I would sell him the keys once he was unbanned, me going first, to which he replied:

[9:20:59] Daniel: see that u treat me like idiot
[9:21:06] Daniel: thanks for ur time

LOL, shady much? You don't want me to wait to see if you're finally unbanned? Multiple insults and mad followed that, to which I did nothing but laugh in satisfaction for my detective skills and knowing that these 2 beta keys are still safe.

Anyway, my investigation so far points out this guy is in fact royce2310/royceman (link), a well known scammer of runescape gold. Which indeed seems rather convincing considering how he sells dota beta keys in another forum (not sure if I'm allowed to post links to other forums) and accepts runescape gold on exchange, which is yeha xd main market here. He's banned over there also though.

Hope you guys enjoy my story, I can provide skype logs and anything you ask me for, I'm here to be legit, and I might be new on this forum, but as a seasoned freelance web designer I know to watch my back for scammers, and turns out this skill is more entertaining than I thought.

    Regards.
