Why is Jagex against RWTing?

Common Sense should tell you;
RWT = Profiting off Jagex's intellectual property when really they are the only ones that are supposed to be making the profit..

In addition, Jagex sells membership to further increase their revenue.

I don't think you understand the concept of RWT..-_-

It also makes the game less challenging.

 

To add to the above reasons, it's also unfair to those players who cannot afford to purchases virtual items. Not everyone who plays RuneScape has a source of income that enables them to purchase gold on a game. For example, some people (legitimate players) stake, get cleaned, then quit. Others (real world traders) stake, get cleaned, buy GP, stake again, and repeat the process.

 

they dont want people to make money off their game

i think they are against it because some people get to addicted
and have stolen credit cards to buy gold and membership and the victims
have gone to jagex demanding there money back

 

Secretly they support it. It keeps a lot of people playing the game. If you notice, there is no long an option to report people for RWT, this was removed in a silent update about a year ago, around the time that we "voted" to bring back free trade.

The vote was a hoax, jagex was already planning to bring back free trade/wildy before the vote was announced. This was all just a plan to make it seem like us players had a decision in things.

imo they are against it publicly because back before pking and free trade were removed they allways were strongly against this but as more and more game companys are realising irl money = more power ingame for the player = more profit for the company. but since they have allways been opposed they can't suddenly support it publicly because it will look very hypocritical however they have found that allowing it to function will mean more people keep paying for members and especialy more so since the removing free trade for new players that havn't been mems to hopefully make more new players subscribe but thats just my view on it
