It's not an exact translation - you don't get the entire essence of it. Just like if I were to translate my wonderful rhythmic English poem to Greek or if you translated Shakespearean work to modern day English it loses a lot of its luster.

A major problem here is that the many of the Muslim posters (and a few others) don't realize you can't use a source as proof (the Qur'an) when people don't believe in it's authenticity and a valid source. You have to first prove that your source is valid THEN use it as proof or find alternative supporting proofs.

An oversimplified real world versino is like telling the cops you didn't steal the candy, just ask my brother. Why would the cops believe your brother? Give them a reason to first or tell them to look at the security footage; a source you can both agree would portray information closer to pure fact.

The Satanic Verses (also the Gharaniq indicent) was a purported incident where a small number of apparently pagan verses were temporarily included in the Qur'an by the Islamic prophet Muhammad, only to be later removed.

The Qur'an has been altered and changed, parts have been removed, as with ANY and ALL religious books. There will never be a primary scholarly sourced religious document to credibly call fact.

The Quran has never been changed. It is the only religious book that has remained in its un-altered state for 1400 years.

In the above verse, God himself has gave the message that he has guarded the words of the Quran. Unlike Priests who take responsibility of preserving their religious scriptures.

 

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. It's been verified by many sources.

The World itself acknowledges the fact it's the fastest growing religion so there is a possibility that it will outgrow Christianity. But we don't know to what extent and if it will ever reach the likes of Christianity.
