Any way to prevent ip grabbing from skype?

Yo,
Is there any way to prevent people from gettin your ip through skype? Someone has gotten mine before and kept ddoss'in me , I couldnt change ip either, the guy gave up eventually i guess lol. I have some mates i wanna talk through skype with, but you know how rs is, can't trust anybody lol

Why is this in runescape general?

 

Probably because it some what involves runescape and protection yourself from ddos attacks.

I don't understand. You want to talk to friends on Skype but your scared they'll get your IP address? Just don't add anyone that would seem sketchy and your good to go.

IP addresses can even be obtained from a simple MSN chat and even through e-mails. Just thought I'd let you know..

 

If he's anything like me, I don't trust anyone who I don't know in real life.

 

Look into maybe purchasing a vpn if your really worried about someone getting your ip.

I use a VPN. Nobody can get my IP in any way Fools people who want to try DDOSing me sometimes.

 

Omg download proXPN and use that as a VPN. You won't be DDoS'd anymore by some skid with a shitty shell booter.

 

I've had some bad experiences trusting people online, through rs and stuff. A freind I've known for months tried to get me to run his java drive by just last week.. thats just one example. Either way it looks like a vpn is the only way to prevent it, thanks guys
