How does runescape handle botters?

Hey.
I haven't botted since 2006, and I was wondering how botting is handled these days?
Currently, I have a few smurf accounts mining, and I'm not sure how to transfer the goods to my main. Should I sell the stuff on the smurfs and just trade the money or drop trade, whatever. Any ideas?
Also, if it is obvious that the smurfs are connected to my main, am I in danger, and does Jagex still permanently ban you the first time you get caught macroing?

 

Just trade the gold.
They usually don't do multiple account bans if one was found botting.
It's not usually a perm ban on your first offense

 

Hmm, my main has a permanent major macro ban from 2007 that was quashed, do you think it may affect their decision?
If I were to use macros now.

 

the squashing of perm ban happened twice ( and a third time but you had to pay for it), those only happened because jagex changed the way their ban system and appeal system from black mark to bars.

ive been reset about 10m xp which was about 1000 levels for me so ... but the weird thing was in wasnt in any of the skills i botted except cooking

 

So I am more likely to get rolled back in xp/money instead of a permanent ban?

 

yea basically....I'd rather get banned tho :/ none bitches taking my sheet
