No excuse to make unconstitutional laws.

Also the bill says they will be held till the war on terror is over. That isn't going to happen because their will always be terrorists. Everyone knew the Civil War was going to end. It was only a matter of time. When will this be over? Maybe never.

Everyone saying that this is blatantly unconstitutional is absolutely wrong.

The president of the U.S has the inherent power to suspend habeus corpus in times of war. It can be argued that we are at war. Whether or not it is a valid argument is up to the courts if they ever hear a case on this, not up to me or you.

Besides, the government is going through the democratic process in order to attempt to get these bills passed. They're doing it totally legitimately, and as a U.S citizen/resident, one is required to respect that. If you really don't like this idea, simply leave the country.

I'm not saying that the idea's right, but it's definitely constitutional (well for the time being).

You obviously know nothing of constitutional law. The president has no power to suspend habeus corpus. Congress does, however, have the power to declare the US a dictatorship at times of war.

I don't see how suspending habeas corpus is constitutional...

Don't you guys miss the days when the Government just showed up at your house in the middle of the night, threw you in the back of a black un-licensed van, and made you disappear?

This seems like a step forward for them! Now they're actually telling you they're corrupt assholes and will do as they like :D.

Also, the bill of rights came into effect 220 years to the day prior to the date this was voted for. Hmm. Dec 15th, I'm beginning to think you're gonna be a holiday one day if you keep this up!
