Maple longbow sighted or Gravite Shortbow????

POST what you've experienced is the best! I need to know!

 

I have both, and the gravite shortbow is better to be honest.

But if you're cheap with tokens, then go for the sight.
It's not bad, there's fastish, with great accuracy.

I've found the gravite shortbow to be higher DPS on full rune armor though

 

Thanks so much for your input, i've asked so many pkers, but i really want to ask the experienced pkers here too... because its more than just +110 and +47, the speed factors in to how often you can risk hp, how many shots you can get in between eating, etc.

 

Pking? Definitely gravite shortbow.
Safe PVP? Definitely sight.

Because In pvp, you need to pull more switches, the attack speed matters a lot in dangerous pvp where it's more about the KO, the switch from a 150-160 adamant arrow hit right to a 270 rune 2h,

Safe Pvp is more about doing more consistant damage, which the sight can offer you, with less wasted arrows.

Though either way I would say to get the gravite shortbow, yes the accuracy is less than half of the sight, but it;s rune.
You don't need that much to hit through rune Gravite shortbow offers more dps in f2p

In pvp its all about speed, so I would get gravite shortbow.

For pking I used to use a gravite shortbow.

They're boss.

 

Guess its all about the speed...

 

Gravite shortbow shows better results in most PK vids tbh.

Sight does have an advantage. It gives the largest range bonus out of all F2P range weapons. I personally like a maple longbow (sighted) over a gravite short bow. But all in all, I still use maple short bows for pking since I don't have to worry about getting more tokens if I lost a sight/gravite bow.

Also If you have low defense, you'll most likely be fighting people with a relatively low defense level too. So in this case I would recommend the gravite, since speed is much more efficient than ranged strength in dropping someone.

However if you do have some def levels, say 40 def + I would recommend the sight because, again you most likely will be fighting people with def themselves, and in this case speed wouldn't be very ideal (you'd be hitting a lot of 0's really fast given that they're wearing rune, or have a lot of def), rather having a stronger bow, the maple longbow with a sight would be dishing out consistent damage.
