I feel I'm getting old...

I just feel as though I'm having a very, very premature mid-life crisis. I'm turning 18 on Monday and it suddenly hit me that I'm becoming a legal adult. I love being a teenager and the idea of leaving that period totally crushes me. I cherish the unpredictability of relationships and friendships, the intense emotions (both positive and negative) and the "you against the world/finding yourself" feeling . But now I feel that my youth is coming to a screeching halt and I'll soon be another boring adult going on stupid dinner dates. I haven't been in a relationship in over three months and I'm a little bit tired of one night stands. Girls really do complete you...I want to get a teenage-years girlfriend again before it's too late.

I don't know...just rambling a lot.

 

Its alright dude, we all go through that phase in our later teen years. I'm 18 and a couple of months and its still the SOS, my friends ask me to buy them cigars, I sign more papers, I can vote, thats it.

In this stage of life, you are just progressing. Your mind is changing and shaping at a constant rate and you are an awkward position of "high school" and "college", its surreal. I remember last year, I didnt care and this year? God, my friends and I were just talking about college. College...my buds from elementary school! Christ.

We're all in the same boat, its the age. The age permits we are maturing but we are still searching for roles. Even if you are the 5% who know WHAT they wanna do in college, you still have too many "?"'s to live life in "cruise control". Even later in the senior school year, I'm sure I'll be sitting there, going off a tangent from class about something and then thinking. "Shit, 3 months to go."

If that didnt make sense to you ^ Its because A. I'm overtired and B. I was proving my point of how we are just "mature teenagers" who are still figuring out life.

As for girls, you seemingly are regretting not getting enough out of earlier years in relationships. Its alright to have flings. You are young, be fun, go wild bro. Girls will ALWAYS be your ying to your yang, you just feel the need to have a chick atm because of all your questioning so you are showing you need support I got you if you wanna talk.
