    Cheap Laptops Online?

    Hiya Sythe!

Been a while since I've been on here, but I have a few questions.

About to start university, and I am chasing a decent laptop.

Can anyone recommend a decent laptop, that can be purchased for cheap'er' online, and can be delivered to Australia :)?

All help is much appreciated :)

    Thankyou!

A few questions before I can answer your question:
    1. What do you need it for? (Just the web, or heavier things like editing videos?)
    2. What is 'cheap' in your eyes?
    3. What study are you doing? (Nothing to do with the laptop, I'm just curious)

Hi there Quack, thanks for the reply!

    1. Really just need a laptop, that is fast, responsive. 8gb Ram? i7? Sort of along them lines.
    2. Cheap is 800ish, that's what they are currently going for on eBay, just seeing if there is a decent site, other than ebay.

What size are you looking for? 13, 15, or 17 in? And are you picky on weight, display type, and AMD vs Intel?
One off the top of my head is the ideapad y470 or y570 off of the Lenovo website, it's around 800-900 and decent specs (i7, 8gb, 14 for the y470 and 15in for the y570). Not sure about Australia shipping, but shouldn't really be an issue since they're a big company.

    Here's another one:

From what I hear ASUS is a decent company with respectable laptop builds. Also, it has a decent graphics card that can play most games (if i'm not mistaken).

Thanks for all the links guys!

And thanks sofa, :) I'll look that up.

13 is too small, 15-17 is fine! :)

Allright, you got some nice replys already.
Currently I have an Asus N55SF with a slight customization. I bought i for around 850€, so that's in your range.
Let me check out a dealer for you in Australia.

Yeah. I had a Toshiba before this one, but than I had to get a new laptop for my Study. All m classmates told me how good Asus was, and here on the forums I made a thread about it, and i seemed that Asus is the most durable/reliable.

Up until now I've had no problems with this laptop, and I've been able to do everything I wanted with it, including gaming!

Just look around, ask more people on these forums and you'll find a laptop that suits you!
