Prioritize TwC's

Only admins can apply twc. Part of the reason why it takes a while for them to be applied.

 

Ohhhh I thought it was globals. Still, among admin activities, this seems like a pretty important one. Surely someone's been on in the past 3 days.

Why is it admins only? You're a sectional and you requested the TwC in the first place. Do admins have to re-review the case?

 

Applying a TWC requires changing a user's usergroup which is something only an admin can modify.

Still, you had enough proof he was here to scam imo, until he actually scams he won't be banned, but when he does scam he will be banned...

 

And with a TwC, it's gonna be harder for him to scam someone.

I'll definitely agree it's an issue. TWC requests, IPs bans, etc usually take 2+ weeks.

 

May be off topic a bit, but i believe maybe the twc sign should be a bit bigger? maybe their avatar, anyway thats just so new people can see it more clearer.

Matthew made it so people could change their own donator ranks so I bet he could add this for globals+ to speed things along...

 

Takes a while to change your donator rank though i believe.

 

I just added my rank and it came up right away. Matt could use the same code (with a few modifications) for globals.

 

Anything to lighten the load and speed these along. Why not have sectionals be able to apply them? If sectionals can temp-ban, they should certainly be able to issue TwC's.

Sectionals can't ban except for infractions. I don't think they should be trusted to TWCs. Globals are normally on top of bans and the such.

 

Sectionals can issue temp-bans from scammer reports right? It was a sectional who answered my report and deemed the guy twc-worthy in the first place, why shouldn't he be allowed to apply the twc then?

 

You open up all sorts of abuse possibilities. You could let sectionals have access to the ban list, but you don't. I mean if you let them apply them you kind of have to let them remove them and then you suddenly have people that need TWC running around without them. To be honest, the request system works just fine almost all the time.

 

Just make a rule saying sectionals can't remove twc's. Give them the power to add them, and take away their power to remove them

 

Meh. Regardless, your not going to convince me so this is a pointless debate. . Next time I see Matthew I'll mention this to him as well and see what he thinks.

The reason why they won't give globals & sectionals the power to do so is because it requires admin CP access. Which would mean a current admin would have to go in and edit all the usergroups.

Naming it an "Admin" cp and giving mods access kind of defeats the point of it being called an admin cp
