Ok look when the DB was leaked someone got my old email and password and scammed someone for like 2 mil or something like that. Turns out the scammer scammed another scammer/multi accounter.

Its bull shit I am still banned, I haven't been on this site in months and talked to SMR about it on facebook. SO apparently I should post in the high pardon section.

If I am not unbanned please explain to me as of why? It was not my fault the DB was leaked a LONG time ago and they had to do a reset, when they reset it put my OLD email address back on it and some scammer had access to it.

The IPs were checked, etc, etc. But how am I supposed to pay back someone that my hacker scammed if they're banned for being a scammer/multi accounter thereself?

 

If that's true he should just get unbanned...

 

If the victim who was scammed is indeed banned and we are unable to track him down, and the irregularities in Coach Thorpe's IP's show he was hacked, then CT should simply be unbanned.

I'd be in support for that at least....

I wasn't active at the time, so I have no knowledge about a reset, but we really can't allow every user who was 'hacked' to simply wait until the person they owe gets banned. Thorpe has had quite a long time to dispute this.

If his account was hacked as a result of our database being leaked, then I think it's a bit unfair to hold him accountable for repayments.

When the Fagex db was leaked a zillion years ago, Thorpe bragged about cracking 75% of it. So, if he lost his account to the same thing, I'd actually find it rather ironic.

Ancient history, granted, but irony nonetheless.

 

Well in that case he should stay banned regardless.

 

This was before I was even an OMM, so unfortunately I don't recall what the exact rules were at the time. According to the PM I had sent Steph about it, Sythe had already deemed cracking to be against the rules - but, if I recall correctly, it wasn't being heavily enforced at the time.

In any case, not enough support in 7 days. Locked.
