    Hey guys and gals .
Well basically my laptop just all of a sudden stopped typing out certain symbols/characters/numbers out of no where . I need help on how to fix this .
Here's the keys that work .

    WORK: `t5-09876\[]y/*+= f5 f1 f6 f11 f12 (the f-keys) Shift key

The rest of them don't work at all . I really hope someone can help me with this as I need my laptop ASAP .:'(

Hmm, I wonder if certain keys on the keyboard are actually broken? That seems kind of odd to me that they just completely stopped working.. I get certain keys that "don't work" and type strange characters, such as '?' turning up as 'É', but that is all easily fixable. Other times when your computer is typing weird characters, you just have to go into the keyboard options and change the language.

I'm not the best with these issues, but personally it sounds to me like you might have an actual hardware issue, in which case you would probably have to take the laptop to be repaired. I'd wait for some more opinions from the Sythe techies, but it would be wise to bring this to the attention of a local computer company (Dial a Geek etc.), or call up the manufacturer of the computer and see if there is anything you can do. Perhaps you just need to reinstall the keyboard driver?

Ahh , this has happened to me before on another laptop though . I don't know what I did to fix it , but I literally just pressed every key on it and it started working again . I tried it with this laptop and it doesn't seem to do the trick . I guess I'll wait for further feedback .
Thanks anyways , Zerk ! :) Always trying to be helpful <3

I had a Presario once. I hated it with a passion. They're owned by HP so it's a no wonder it failed.

Have you tried just unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in? Since it's a laptop maybe the connection just got knocked out of place.

Are you sure no one spilt anything over it or something to mess up the circuit board?

With a screw driver you can take off the screws on the side and try cleaning it, otherwise you'll have to replace the keyboard of the laptop.

I highly doubt this is a software problem.
