31 Prayer for F2P STR pures?

Hey guys. Basically, I have a F2P str pure with 40 attack, 80 str, 70 HP and just about 1 everything else.
Should i get him 31 pray for ultimate strength? Or stay 1 pray? All I do is edge pking.

 

Only after 85 strength.

But honestly, I would not, raises your combat level unnecessarily. just get your strength up.

Recharging pray after every fight is a bitch. but if you have itm you need to recharge it to be competitive

 

I prefer to take the 1 prayer route. The less to micromanage while PK'ing, the better.

 

15% boost is always good.

I usually stay 1 pray, Since its a pain in the arse to go to monastery after every inv.

My Advice would to get range up at this point.

 

As a veteran f2p pker, I would say keep 1 prayer until 90-95 strength. It just isn't worth the hassle recharging.

Although, if have good timing + know when to pray/when not to pray then you can make 31 prayer last ~2-3 fights.

 

NO. Keep 1 prayer for life. It is SO much better.

 

i voted yes, i like hitting higher in f2p, i always soul wars my strength, then use the extra combat levels I've saved on prayer to have an even bigger advantage over another 1 pray f2p trained pure.

 

I suggest keeping as low cb lvl as possible with high hp, high str, high ranged and 40 atk, don't level defence and prayer when you''re a f2per.

 

Keep prayer at 1,
You're main objective for the pure was to be low lvl with high str,
Raising pray on a F2p strength pure will hardly matter,
Not worth the lvl's tbh.

 

The extra hp and str will help you a lot more than 31 prayer. Keep it one!

 

I voted yes, however it would depend on your str lvl. If you have high str go for it

It depends how comitted you are to the account. If your going to be training str a lot and getting 90+ pretty quick then stay at 1 until your 90+ then come back to it. If your staying at 80 pray and dont train that much, then yes get it. 80 str is not great for melle pking in f2p but 80 str with 31 pray does make a difference. It will give you 4cb levels so you have to weigh in the stats people will be at your new cb levle aswell. Pray is the way out of training in my way but 100% worth it!

EDIT: I have a 99str pure which i got 31 pray on 4 days ago and i do not regret it in the slightest. my max went from like 275 to 315 with r2h. Pray is a huge difference in f2p.

 

I've always liked the boost. My new pure has 1 prayer though, so I'm going to keep him at that for now and see if it makes a huge difference or not. I voted yes though, in favour of 31 prayer.

 

I rather 1 prayer f2p or 44 pray members

 

keep prayer at 1 always for f2p... trust me I've done both paths... if you're going to waste the extra cb levels, might as well be with attack or def (assuming you're 99 str)... bottom line keep prayer at 1.

Let me lay some math on you:

Scenario A: Training naturally, meaning HP is where it should be.

(all players 40 attack, 1 defense, 66.9ish combat)

Player A:
98 str
86 hp
1 prayer

Player B:
96 str
84 hp
13 prayer

Player C:
92 str
80 hp
31 prayer

Strength level when potted + prayer: (note: Runescape always rounds down)
Player A: 110 (98+12)
Player B: 117 (96+12+9)
Player C: 117 (92+12+13)

Conclusion: Doesn't matter if you are 13 or 31 prayer, they are the same.

Scenario B: Soul Wars Prod, you control your HP level

(all players 40 attack, 1 defense, 78 hp, 64.9ish combat)

Player A:
99 Strength
1 Prayer

Player B:
95 Strength
13 Prayer

Player C:
87 Strength
31 Prayer

Strength level when potted + prayer: (note: Runescape always rounds down)
Player A: 111 (99+12)
Player B: 116 (95+12+9)
Player C: 111 (87+11+13)

Conclusion: 13 Prayer is the best for strength levels/combat level.

Final thoughts: Choosing your prayer level depends on where your goals are. If you are only melee, and you are training f2p, then you can pick between 13 or 31, doesn't make a difference. If you train p2p though and keep low hp, 13 prayer is the best. The only drawback of 13 prayer is it's a nuisance to recharge because you can't use the monastery. Also, below ~80 strength, it really doesn't make a difference at all. If you are ranging at all, 44 range prayer is the best period past level ~70 ranged.

 

i would say stay at 1 prayer , you will regret it if you decide to level prayer trust me.
