I got pmed my Mod Mark...

when I right clicked it showed the "Live PM"....

 

Its a scam. Its not really mod mark. Just ignore them I get them all the time

 

Holy shit. If this is real, a lot of people are going to be hacked soon.

 

What you are seeing is actually one whole message from "Live PM." He is just spacing the one message out perfectly so it looks like 3 separate messages, 2 being from Mod Mark. Don't fall for it.

Also, when you've been contacted by a Jagex Moderator their crown will still be shown in the PM. They also contact you through the built-in message box of your account when inviting you to become a Player Moderator.

Its fake, "Live PM" just spaced it perfectly to look like Mod Mark PM'd you, I do this all the time but in friend chats.

Obv its fake, Mods will have a Golden Crown next to their name

 

Yeah thats a total scam man! I use this trick on my friends all the time (not with the Mod thing of course..). I write a small message that takes up one whole line of chat, and then beginning on the next line you write "From Sparc Mac: You have just won the 1-28 goodiebag! Congrats! Please hop over to world __ and meet me at the fountain east of ge!".

Pretty fucking hilarious actually, as 8/10 times the person immediately hops worlds hahaha. Now that scammers are using this to try and hack people though, thats a little scary =/

There was an update last month with the text interfaces that now lets you write paragraphs and the text will simply word wrap. What you are seeing in the picture is 1 long message from Live PM that was spaced out so the comments from mod mark looked like they were separate messages.
