The difference being Roy Brown could have killed someone during the robbery (obviously he was unarmed but the bank teller didn't know that) making it first degree robbery, whereas fraud can't exactly kill anyone (unless someone kills themselves, such as what happened to that guuy in North Carolina in 09).

Though only 4 years for scamming 3 billion dollars is complete bullshit.

I'm sure the homeless guy didn't bother trying to get his sentence reduced at all since the point of him robbing the bank was to find shelter in prison.

How is this bad at all? Armed robbery (if you research into it then you will find that he was imposing that there was a gun under his jacket) is alot more serious then just stealing money, thats why he gets 15 years instead of 3 years. You can always leave this world too....

Although what he initially did was wrong, his morals conflicted with his actions and he surrendered himself.

 

This is disgusting...15 years of prison for robbing $100... But yet the CEO that stole THREE BILLION DOLLARS received only a 3 1/3 years sentence. This is not right. But at least the homeless man has shelter and 3 hot meals a day for the next 15 years. (Even though prison food tastes fucking horrible.)
