    Help?!?!!?!?!!!!

So im guessing you guys know that Christmas is coming up...My parents asked me what I wanted to get for Christmas like a week ago. I didnt really want anything back then and I couldnt come up with anything; and i still cant. My parents asked if I wanted to get some clothes, XBox, Ps3, other gaming consoles, a watch, laptop, etc but i just wasnt that enthusiastic about having those things cause I am happy with what I have now....

Is there something wrong with me?!?! Is this even normal to not want anything?

    Help?!?!!?!?!!!!

If you are happy with what you have now, it would be perfectly normal to not want anything.

I would think thats a good thing that your not a spoiled, greedy asshat like alot of kids. You should be proud of yourself, not feeling like there is something wrong with you.

Unless this is just a troll... I can't really tell tbh.

If there is nothing that you want at this time, try to think of things that you need instead. Do you need any clothes... a new winter jacket? A pair of gloves for your hands? Socks? Or maybe you need some small things for the inside of your car, or dishes & supplies for your house if you are moving out on your own soon.

I realize you might be a bit younger than I am assuming, and might not need some of the things that I mentioned up above, but those are just examples. My point is to try and think of things that you actually need, even if they don't seem like conventional gifts, because they aren't "cool" or expensive. Sometimes those things you really need are actually the best presents. Especially because you know that you will end up using them constantly.

Why do you have to get something for Christmas? I personally never get anything, nor do I want anything. I'm more worried about what to get my parents to be honest.

I don't know if you have a part time job or what-not, but an income makes you realize the true value of everything. I realized that when you start working, you know what you REALLY want because it's YOUR money. You save it up, you manage your own money. It makes the reward(whatever you end up buying) much more rewarding rather than just getting it easily through a gift.

So no, there is nothing wrong with you. Instead of worrying what you want, seek what your family wants.

It;s good. If you don't want or need anything, then why ask someone to get it for you. If you don't want something, you won't use it which is just a waste.

Hey man, I'm feeling the exact same. I'm honestly content with what I have and it's a great thing. Leave it up to them to get you something, then you can enjoy the excitement of not knowing what you're gonna get! But always be thankful for what you have, and it looks like you are, so that's great.

Wow, this is really admirable. I didn't even think kids like you guys existed in the 20th century to be honest... nowadays its always more more MORE, and I need it now now NOW.

Its very rare to find a kid who is actually content with what they have, thankful that they have anything at all, and recognizes that they are fortunate just to have basic things + so much more. Props to you guys :)

You're completely normal. I haven't asked for anything for Christmas since I was sixteen. It's better to give than receive.
