Chargeback question

I was ripped off of Guy4game for just over $1000 of gold a month ago. Claimed I received my gold, but they delivered to a totally different character. I called my bank when they posted, and I signed some forms to my bank, and they said they would investigate it. I DID NOT SCAM THEM. It was bought using Direct debit Card on their site... I told my bank my items were not recieved and I was not recieving a refund via the Merchant.

What are the chances to receive my money back? Will guy4game try to fight the charge back? I'm new to the process. My bank is BBT. Do they send chat logs and screenshots or report it as a loss....?

 

If they did actually scam you then they will not pursue it though I am guessing they will as $1000 is a considerable amount

 

You should make an official scam report as well, go to the police for scamming etc. You have his name and bank account after all?

 

Yeah I'm a little confused by the whole situation, if they delivered to the wrong character isn't that on you by telling them the wrong RSN?

 

I did not tell them the wrong RSN. It's a company, not a sythe member. I told them a completely different character. I waited for 30 mins until I asked, and they said "our deliverer has already done delivery", when I asked for pics they had showed me them trading some other guy my gold.

 

Well that is obviously a scam.

If you have screen shots of your chat logs prior to the transaction, you can prove that they did not provide the service. This is like a restaurant giving your order to another table and refusing to give you your order.

 

Why use sites like Guy4game and Gold4fun at all? They're all operated by illiterate chinks, overpriced as hell and extremely likely to scam you. Just use PA or a trusted seller here on Sythe.

 

That's just offensive...

 

Its the truth though....

 

Try doing this , and tell us if it works . You might get the money back.

 

i would go to the police about it. 1000$ is a lot of money to get scammed out of.

 

Report them to the local authorities..

 

Claim they committed fraud against you , And they attempted to create counterfeit evidence (If they say they can provide delivery evidence)

 

They are from China. They(my bank) said they are investigating the matter now. What are they going to provide to my bank, fake screenshots and chat logs? I asked them if I should call the cops and they said it was a civil matter.

I don't know what to do really.
