When you change your display name...

When you change your character's display name, when will your previous name be released for other people to take? Could someone help me? Thanks.

 

not unless you make it offensive other than that you have to change it a second time for it to be free, but some names randomly delete after a long period of time

 

for some reason I thought there was a period. i can't remember exactly but i think it's between a week and a month

 

There is a month gap to change your name again, unless Jagex reset it beforehand.

if you mean like if you dont change the name back to the previous one the time that it will delete depends on how long you had the name before you changed it

 

30 days if you don't change it, otherwise as soon as you change your name a second time.
