Who knows anything about ddos/ping attacks?

Lately my internet has become very unstable it has been going on/off randomly and very often. My few anti viruses etc pick it up every time and block it but it still says high memory usage in the "ping" now i'm not really a computer expert obviously why i put it here.
Is this a trojan virus directly?
    How can i stop this?
    Am i constantly getting DDOS'ed?
    Help?

Did you try formating your computer? Its very simple if you have windows CD
    (in my opinion best method)

Try running your computer in safe mode and do a full virus, spyware, adware scan.

Also you can alt + ctrl + delete and look at process and read discription see if it makes sense of what the process is doing.

Also to eliminate the possibility of you getting ddosed if you have a static Ip just call up your ISP and have em change it up but i doubt its that.

Ring up your ISP and ask if there is a fault in your area. Reformatting Windows is probably a good idea as well.

Say whut? You have more than 1 Anti-virus? No good: Avira #1

Than for your ping you have 2 reasons. It can be something with your pc, or something with your ISP/Router.

If the problem goes on with your PC you have 2 options. Either you are infected with some kind of virus which is used to DDoS other people (so it will use your internet to DDoS another person), which can make u lagg.
    Or you are getting DDoSed.

What i would do is unplug my router & modem for 24hours.
Plug them back in and see if the problem persists.

If still not fixed you're going to have to look into your PC & see if you can find any virus'

If the problem still ain't fixed by than i'd call your ISP. Whenever they claim everything is OK, i guess time for a new router or so?

Also, are you on wireless or wired?

If you have more questions/need help Come to the IRC or send me an e-mail @ [email protected]

You can try changing your IP to see if it is a DDOS or not, if it's not and it's a trojan, depending on which it is, it can be removed.

Multiple anti-virus softwares installed on the same unit will conflict with each other. I'd recommend reducing it to only a single anti-virus software unless you've got a good reason for having multiples.

    Best of luck mate! (-"

Doesn't sound like a DOS, unless you angered someone very stubborn, or they wouldn't be doing it randomly. If you think you're being DOS'ed you can use the netstat -n command to get the ip of the attacker.
