Player Auctions chargeback, what bullshit?

I sold RSGP on paypal and a chargeback has been filed by the buyer saying his paypal has been compromised and the person who hacked it has done unauthorized payments from it, will i win or lose the chargeback?

I thought P.A was chargeback proof?..

 

if you sold through player auctions, they will cover the chargeback. If you sold via face to face using paypal, you will lose the dispute.

 

They will cover the chargeback meaning the money will be payed by PlayerAuctions? what stops people from just doing what this guy did to me over and over again? Unauthorized transactions are pree much a 100% win to the buyer.

I'm confused if you sold the gp on paypal or playerauctions. If you sold it on playerauctions and the buyer used paypal to pay on PA, yes they can dispute. However all you do is simply provide PA with delivery screenshots and you lose no money whatosever. PA takes the hit.

 

Then what stops him from doing unauthorized over and over and farming gp? Unauthorized always wins disputes...

 

Thats PA's problem and not yours. Their profits surpass the risks, so they can afford a few unlegitimate traders every now and again. They have implemented many precautions to avoid these people, such as not allowing big paypal orders and requesting ID for bigger orders.

 

They have many precautions in place so these kind of things do not happen to often. I am surprised one actually got through with how stringent they are.

 

Keep in mind to make an account in the first place, contact info (address, name, phone #, etc.) must be supplied. They CAN take legal action for doing this kind of thing as per the registrant's agreement to the Terms & Conditions when they signed up.

Anyways, PA takes the hit. Why are you so worried? If there was nothing to stop him to doing this over and over then PA wouldn't exist in the first place.

 

I'm pretty sure PA protects from chargebacks.
