    The benefits from paying back that money would far outweigh how much it sucks to fork over another $400. Having debt collectors after you is not fun, as they will do everything in their power to harass you and sometimes even intimidate you into paying the debt.

    If that PayPal account is connected to your parents in anyway, like people said above, your parents credit scores could be severely affected by this down the line and I assure you that they would be very upset with you.

    Moral of the story: make PayPal on a proxy, then spend money on non refundable goods which can be readily sold for non refundable cold cash.

    I'm from the UK and I got a paypal debt collectors on my ass for a bullshit £60 claimback from Gold4rs that wasn't my fault. I just ignored them and blocked the number they kept calling me from. I got letters in the post like once a fortnight for 4-5 months, but eventually they gave up.

    ^ Money never disappear. I can assure you they didnt give up. Just wait for something more serious, maybe in 1,2 or 3 years, but they will eventually get it back.

    Paypal's debt collectors are a bunch of useless people. They won't do anything, couple of emails, a letter, and that's that.

    Just heads up.. BUT.. you will get a negative balance if he charges back..


    Then when he will get his money back + 800M

    Then you will end up owing (assuming 0.5/mil give or take) $400 to paypal.. and failure to pay results in a collection agency coming after you and bad credit for the rest of your life...so in reality removing the cc and sending money to different paypal won't change a thing... just adds hassle to send money back to pay the amount owed if you lose.
