The Void Stares Back

So after I do some yardwork in a minute, I have a few hours this afternoon to play RS and I am completely ready to begin this quest. I'm pretty sure this is my first Grandmaster quest ever!

How long does this quest take to complete from start to finish? Is it any fun, or is it just a giant pain in the ass? Any tips for fighting the Pest Queen at the end and/or strategies on killing her quickly and effectively? I just want to know what to expect before I start the quest.

 

Get yourself a tort, and spec recovs and the queen is easy peasy.

The quest itself is okay, you get to have a little conquest type fight etc,
Choosing who lives and who dies in the end grants you the color of your elite void, so make sure you choose correctly or else you'll have to pay to change the color like i had too ;'(

and its been a year roughly since i've done it so i can't remb how long it takes.

 

can't really tell you how easy it is...All people or I prefer to say NOOBS prefer to say it's so hard and stuff but for me when I did it, it was super easy.
should be a lot easier for you, you will have fun at the queen part.

A couple of hours playtime was what I was hoping for I got a war tortoise and can afford to buy whatever gear I need for the Queen. I'm not too worried, as much lower levelled players than me have successfully done the quest, whereas my character is fully maxed and so it hopefully should not be a problem!

I think the Conquest game in the middle of the quest may be one of the more difficult parts of the quest for me (I usually suck at the puzzles in quests, and only half understood the tutorial). Hopefully it isn't that bad.

Thanks for the encouragement you two. If anybody else has any advice or comments they want to post, go for it I will be check back periodically, and likely starting the quest in like 30 mins after my shower w00t!

 

Guys help - what do I need to wear to fight the Pest Queen? I am at that part right now!

 

Try using this guide:

 

Just make sure you get the (I forget what they're called) stuck behind the pillar behind the Pest Queen. They heal her, and if you attack them and get their attention towards you and get them stuck back there, no more will respawn and you should be able to kill her.

PS I didn't have a war tortoise or anything, I had a Spirit Terror Bird for extra Sara Brews then a Spirit Kyatt and used Ambush scrolls to kill her.

 

Questing is indefinitely one of the funnest things to do on RuneScape, no worries. You probably will get frustrated once or twice though.

Thanks for the tip. I heard about those pests and how its the same sort of concept as the healers who come and heal Jad, so I will be watching for them. Just loading up RS back up right now and getting geared for this fight!

Haha unfortunately my opinion is actually the exact opposite I hate questing with a passion lol. Once in awhile I enjoy doing one of the "major" kind of milestone quests in RS, just for the one time. But in general I just find questing a pain in the ass.. I've had to put in hours and hours of quests thus far to get my Barrows Pure where I wanted him to be and I could have definitely done without investing all that extra time!

 

Use a guide and good pots.

 

Done That was super easy actually, I did it first try and used about 10 rocktails, a brew or 2, and maybe 3 full super restores? So I definitely came WAY overprepared (which is better safe than sorry, I guess).

Overall the quest wasn't that bad. It was fairly quick, had a decent storyline and I was surprised that I actually liked the conquest part, and the boss battle. Now I have a shiny new spec weapon to play around with in PvP
