Player vs OMM

I had no idea where to post this. So i posted it here.
I won't give out the name of the OMM because i don't want any biased opinions on this.

OK, so here's what happened:

I was selling a rare name on sythe. I was approached by a noob on sythe who asked me to sell him the name, but ONLY if it was ready for transfer. I agreed, but as long as we used an OMM to hold the money over the course of 1 month. So he gave the OMM 220m and i gave the OMM my account details.
The reason for this was because if he backed out, i would have wasted membership on the account and time that could have been used to sell the name to an ACTUAL buyer.

Then a few weeks in i remind him about the trade. He said he didn't get the account details because he thought that i was going to Xfer (Despite me telling him otherwise). So he agreed HE would xfer the name.

It came closer to the Xfer date and he said that the guy hadn't been online so he couldn't get the acc details... This is roughly 7 days away from the Xfer date.

So it comes up to the Xfer date and he says "The guy backed out due to person reasons". That's so fucking unfair. I CLEARLY wanted him NOT to backout because we traded using the OMM. Why would he bother taking the money off the buyer, taking my account details ALL 1 month BEFORE the trade?

I used a OMM so he wouldn't back out. Now he backed out.
Think it's worth putting in a scam report for? He's doing an AWFUL job of OMM'ing.

Who backed out? The OMM or the trader?

I can give you a reason why the OMM backed out if he is the one who backed out.

 

The trader backed out. But the reason I wanted a MM in the first place is because I didn't want to make the name ready for Xfer at all. But he offered a nice price so I thought I'd do it.
But I didn't want to stop trying to sell it for 1 month and pay for members, only to find out he ignores my PMs... So I thought a OMM would be the solution...

 

so...basically...if I wanted a rare name..all I have to do is do this through an OMM. then "back out due to personal reasons" and then snipe the name? Then I get my rsgp and the name..score..

So, let's say this situation comes about in future...
What do I do?
Some guy offers me a good price but ONLY If it's ready for xfer.
He tells me to put members on it and wait for a month.
What do I do then?

 

I'm assuming the name got sniped then?

If so, I think it's worth filing a scam report.

You never know what will happened.

However if the name did not get sniped, then you have nothing to be worried about and instead, next time agree upon the buyer to pay for the membership (if they wish for the name to be ready to be transferred).

 

If I were to OMM I would have 'refunded' the costs of the membership and given the buyer the remainder of his money back.

UNLESS you two had told me that under no circumstance he could get his money back by backing out of the trade.

 

I had specified just that.
I told the OMM the reason for doing this trade with him is because i didn't want him to back out.
Now i've wasted 1 month reserving the name for him, and 1 month of membership.
Now i need to find a new buyer. I could have spent the 1 month i wasted trying to find a decent buyer and getting a buyer.

What would be the point in paying 1 month in advance if it wasn't BECAUSE i didn't want him to back out?

 

THE OMM CAN'T FORCE A TRADE ON SOMEONE IF HE DOESNT WANT IT HE DOESNT WANT IT SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP YOUR COMPLAINING AND MAKE THE OTHER USER PAY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP CALM YOUR TTIS, DROP THE SUBJECT AND THANK GAWD THIS IS IN SPAM FORUM lol.
