    Anet390's Stock Watch!

Hello, I am Anet390, I will not be investing any money in stocks. I just enjoy testing my trading knowledge by trying to predict stocks. I will be posting stocks that I believe will go up. I will post the date I posted them on here, what the current price is, and will update the rise/fall when the US market closes every business day.

    HERE ARE MY STARTING STOCKS!

    Symbol/Stock ~ Chose [date] @ [price]/share ~ Current Price ~ Profit/Loss

    • JSDA (Jones Soda Co.) ~ Chose 11/30/11 @ .45/share ~ .55/share (12/5/11) ~ 0.10 Gain (22.70% Gain)/share

    • GS (The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.) ~ Chose 11/30/11 @ 95.86/share ~ 99.82/share (12/5/11) ~ 3.96 Gain (4.13% Gain)/share
    • SMBL (Smart Balance, Inc.) ~ Chose 11/30/11 @ 5.31/share ~ 5.09/share (12/5/11) ~ 0.22 Loss (4.14% Loss)/share

You are just telling people to invest in stocks that have huge reputations.

Anyone can figure out that Goldman Sac is going to go up. Even if it doesn't, in the long term, it will just because the company is so big. Granted there is a slim chance that it may collapse, but that can be said for any company.

The best idea for this thread is to give your opinion on stocks that are in lower value and show potential.

    Lol!

Jones soda and smart balance are not big AT ALL! Also there is no guarantee that any of these stocks will go up. (Even GS) I am choosing stocks that I think will rise using my investing pattern in graphs and seein how well the stock does and if y method works. Also, by you saying that GS is going to rise no matter what and so it is simple just to post it. GS has fallen up to 45% before and not recovered until 1-2 years later. How about you invest all your money in big companies that you say are gonna rise just cause they are big. But don't come crying to me when the company almost goes bankrupt like GM and their stock falls over 72%. But GM was doing fine, and its a big company!!! Therefor you would have lost 72% of your money if you would have invested in GM cause it was big and successful, like your investing method says.

Ok, go ahead and invest a bunch in NASDAQ!

Has been down over 63% in the past 2 years. Ya great long term investment. And about apple, I love how people think they are smart because they choose HUGE stocks. Apple is not smart to invest in... Why? Go research it yourself mr. I know stocks!! Don't pay attention to the price/past, use the graphs and the news!

At $390.95/share? Not all that many investors have enough money to purchase enough shares to really see a difference.

ya, that would be cool. I havnt kept this updated because I was busy irl. By the time I had time to update it... It was way to our of date. I might make a new one. The only problem is that many people think I just edit my thread and put stocks that rose that day. So for a competition we would need like a certain amount of $$. You can buy any stocks & share amounts with it (virtually) and we see how we do. PS: We will tell if anyone is cheating by changing stocks.

Yeah, I think we should get one of the organisers or who ever does this sort of thing to do something. Hopefully they will see this

Ik this thread is out of date.. But it is not a gravedig. So many people know the site www.howthemarketworks.com

It is a simple virtual trading site, where you start with X amount of money and virtually invest in stocks. I was thinking about maybe contacting a Mod and seeing if we can get a little competition started over Sythe using this site. Please PM the mods the link to this thread if you want to see this competition take place!
