I got Scammed twice and then Phished...

A MOD CAN LOCK THIS, I RESOLVED IT.

I recently returned to RS just about a month ago and I didnt catch onto this "anybody can send an email from anywhere" bullshit, so I got phished because I thought I got caught RWT'ing.

The hacker/phisher set an email on my account, so how else is it possible for me to get in contact with Jagex and get ahold of my account?

Any feedback would be greatly apperciated.

It's pretty much common sense that you can't trust an e-mail that's sent by 'jagex'...

 

I was tricked by a phishing email but then I quickly realised and changed my password. If your the original owner and have all the details to the account then you can recover it. If you had items theres no way to get them back.

No, YOU are an idiot. Jagex has stated in multiple cases that they will NOT use your email to contact you, but rather the message centre connected with your account.

 

just change the password problem sovled, they don't get your recov/billing details ,just your login/pass, i just reccomend never using that password ever again.

 

Wait how can they get into ur account with an e-mail?

 

not all accounts are via login email. if thats what your referring to, all they need to log on the account is the user/pass.

I didnt play RS for 2 years, never heard or something like that. Recently, I traded with a big GP seller in a common place, so I actually thought they linked my Sythe MSN to my account and I was getting banned, especially since another IP had recently been on my account and taken 80m from it.

I had no clue, anybody would of fallen for it... and btw messege centre my ass, who reads those things?

A mod can lock this, thanks for all the help? Half of you lot on this website are straight up arrogant and provide nothing else besides a headache.

Damn bro sorry to hear. I get these fake jagexs emails all the time.
Just try using your recovery information. You don't NEED your email to complete the form. Explain to them what happened.

 

Unlucky mate, I don't get many 'Jagex' e-mails but you can easily tell their fake if you know what to look for. Best way is to recover it and never use that password again, as said before you won't see your stolen items again. But at least you've learned from your mistakes.

 

Exactly, try and remember your creation date, ISP, recoveries, email, etc.
