Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, did you collect?

Lol I use to collect yugioh cards and I had over 10,000 it was crazy. I also was the best duelist in town I could beat anybody. Then I hit junior high an decided to sell the on eBay. It's been years since then but I still think the game is cool although I don't have any cards.

I use to have a few hundred poke on cards but they bored me, to many rules and tokens and stupid stuff like that, so I gave then to my best friend and moved on.

Am I the only card collecting nerd out there? I want to hear from some other people!

 

I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I had all the exodus(?) pieces and the 3 egyptian god cards. Sold them years ago, along with all my others.

 

Yeah I had Yu-Gi-Oh cards too, and btw their called "Exodia" and I had all of them aswell. I was like obsessed at 8-9.

 

I used to collect pokemon cards...yu-gi-oh was sort of after my time (they came out when I was like 16) so, yeah...I actually made a lot of money off of pokemon cards...buy peoples charizard cards for like 25 dollars, sell to game card stores for 75-150 dollars depending if they were first edition or not =] (the game card stores would turn around and sell them for 130-250 dollars) This was when I was 10-12...I remember going to the Toys-R-us store and being in the "pokemon league" that was sponsored by wizards of the coast (makers of pokemon cards) you would basically go there and pokemon card battle other kids, get stamps for winning/losing then if you got 50 stamps you would get a gym badge or a TM sticker =D I was so proud of my gym badges xD

 

Pokemon cards when I was like 5 - 6,
Had a shit load of them even the japanese versions until I sold them for bud afterwords, rofl

 

I remember setting up my own little tournaments between friends in town, when the winner got stupid stuff like a bag of chips or some mints. Lol those were the days

 

I collected pokemon cards, but never played the card game, only the gameboy games..Collected yu-gi-oh cards also, played that quite a bit.lol, I didnt get big into it until the god cards came out though, i will admit..i wasn't the best, but my friends hated me

Only Pokémon cards. Never bothered with anything else. Yu-gi-oh was a bit late for me.

 

I used to collect Pokemon cards and duel my siblings. I probably wasn't that good but I had a hell of a time. To be honest, I still have my Pokemon cards.

 

I used to collect nearly all the trading cards I could get my hands on. I never used to buy many, I got them from friends, by either winning them or trading.

 

I was the shit at Yugioh. I was like 11 and went to all these local tournaments and wrecked everyone lol. Then I quit at some point. Yugioh isn't good anymore it's just about who has the most money to buy the best cards for their deck.

I also used to collect Pokemon, DBZ and Duel Masters. I went to Duel Master tournaments at the same place and did quite well but never got into any of them as much as yugioh.

 

Nice, although I don't play pokenon cards I love the games like on gameboy and ds. They are awesome. I always wanted to go to a real Yugioh tournament but whenever the opportunity came up I either wasn't allowed or couldn't get to that town that day.

As a youngster, I used to steal pokemon cards from zellers and sell them to a collector for some good scratch.

When I quit, I had a stack of pokemon cards 3 feet long.

 

I collected the fuck out of pokemon cards. I never played the card game though, just collected.

I never got into Yu-Gi-Oh and once Ruby / Sapphire came out I got done with Pokemon cards.

I have TONS on TONS or original pokemon cards though, I'm holding onto them and seeing how much they will rise up to in the future.

 

I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, they are probably still around my house somewhere.

 

With yugioh kids would always complain because I had better cards, as I would tell them it's not the cards it's the duelist. But try insisted it was unfair, so I switched them decks for the game and still murdered them! But pokenon was cool to collect I like the pictures on pokemon better then yugioh, that's why I collected them anyway.

 

I had sooo many YuGiOh cards. I still do, but I don't play with them. They're in a box at my parents house.

And I highly doubt you had over 10,000. First of all, Good luck counting that high. Second, it would take over an hour if you said more than 3 numbers per second. Third, that would have cost a fortune at $7/pack of 9.

 

When the phase came around, I indeed played.

Pokemon seemed more of like a collecting thing rather than playing anyone since none of the people I knew was sure of how to play it. I vividly remember having a shiny/holographic Charizard.

Yu-Gi-OH was something I loved. I even watched that movie which came out for it. Was hoping for a good card, but always got the crap one :L

But yeah, I built multiple 'decks' when I had them. Sold them all and got about 30% of the original amount of the money I used. imo elemental hero decks are so fun =]
