What is League of Legends? I've seen some videos, and it looks like a Dota map and sort of the play style.

Is it free?

I have never played Dota but I play alot of League of Legends and from what friends have told me, the play style is exactly the same as Dota but a bit more casual. Obviously the champions are alot different to the Dota ones as well. It's 100% free but if you want to buy more champions quickly or buy skins you can pay for them.

 

So its not the intensity of Dota? I used to play Dota when it first came out... then it became... a little 'rough' and people take that shit way to serious now.

 

League of Legends is far different from DOTA. If you want that type of intensity then you will want to play DOTA or HON. Personally I am waiting for DOTA 2.

 

Unless you start playing ranked games, which you don't have to then the game isn't taken that seriously. You will always get those few who take it extremly seriously but yeah from what I have been told compared to dota it's just a fun time wasting game

They got rid of the Mac client I think but you can use this website:

Run the installer choose the server closest to you and it should let you play. I have never tried this but it has a large positive response on the LoL forums.
