Swaping names

Hey guys,

I HAVE read the guides but dont understand why you have to wait before transfering?

Basically I want to put my mains name on my pure so why cant I just change my mains name to something, then my pure to what my main was?

Because of 'last known as'.
That 'last known as' name is stuck on your account until your name is change twice, to something different.

 

False...It is stuck there for a period of time, or until you change your name to something else.

Changing your name a second time to get rid of the 'last known as' for your name is the only sure-fire way of knowing when your name is going to become available.

 

let's say your mains name was Bob

> change Bob into something different like Billy
> no one can take the name Bob for 28 days and you can't change your name Billy too for 28 days
> at the 28th day Jagex will reserve the name Bob for your main for 7 more days (so 35 days all together) incase you want it back
> If you change your name Billy between the 28th-35th day to something different like Mark, Bob will become available to others instantly
> If you just wait till the 35 days are over, after the 35th day Bob will become available

 

Might want to add that if your maxed Jagex saves your name for a year.
