Is this even possible?

I heard a while ago that it's impossible to use a proxy to hide your IP when using Java applications, like RS. Then when i was talking to kevin001, hes said this:

I used a proxy once and the first thing Mod Chrisso replied to me (was using a fresh lvl 3) was 'Hi ifh'.

I wouldn't count on it.

I use this to watch formula 1, but it gets the job done. Once you play rs with this, it shows some one else's ip (you can check when you log off rs that it won't be the same as yours).

This also lifts ip ban.

 

It's because jagex specifically targets Chinese IPs for mass-bans and such. Nothing deceitful about it, Kevin's just trying to protect his business

 

Use Mozilla Firefox, search for some SOCKS5 proxies, find one you want to use with low latency, and go Options > Advanced Tab > Network Tab > Settings under Connection > Manual proxy configuration > Enter IP address and port > Ok > Ok, and you're done. You can now log into RS using a proxy.

You can also just log in on a U.S. VPS and achieve the same result.

Probably that, but they likely use things other than IP adress as well.

u can use vps's to hide ur ip.

 

There are sooooo many ways to alter your IP it's ridiculous.
Even an amateur can mask his IP address nowdays
