iPhone (Verizon)

My cousin dropped his white iphone4 and didnt feel like replacing the plastic casing (outer layer?) so he gave it to me. Currently I have a shitty samsung intensity with verizon, and I want to use the iphone with it now. Im pretty sure its CDMA, but will i be able to use it without the data plan? The reason being I dont need it, I got internet at home, my school has gone ipad only so they trippled or even more there wifi speeds. and i shouldnt be on the phone while driving anyways. Everywhere else I go i should probably have wifi. So yeah..


Can I get it done some way? Or is verizon a stingy jew? (no offence.)
