Keypads to Walk in runescape

If fagex does ever happen to update to WASD movement it'll more than likely change the way you fight, killing the concept of Runescape entirely.

 

People keep bringing this up since 2001. Never gonna happen.

I would not be able to stand it, the game was not ment to be played that way.

 

As far as I can remember I read something that they were looking to implement it in the future. I will try and find the link.

 

Actually, it's not complete BS. JaGex stated a few years ago in one of their Q&A's about future-updates on the possibility of WASD movements being added. They neither confirmed or denied this as a future update, but they sort of hinted towards it being a definitive possibility.

People are probably thinking because of the comment on that thread that this is going to be definitely added. This is false. I personally think it'd be an interesting change to the current movement scheme, but I'd prefer they added WASD and kept the point-and-click as an option in case you don't like it.

 

How exactly would this change the way you fight? You fight by point and click. The fighting would remain the same. The only difference is instead of clicking to move your character to, say, 'farcast' you would use WASD instead of your mouse. To some I suppose that would be enough change for them to consider PvP 'ruined'.

 

Doesn't sound like a very good update... I would imagine it's more difficult than using the mouse
