Super heating gold

Does superheating gold with gauntlets still get you the same xp as when you would just smelt them in the furnace? I have 4k gold ores I need to smelt for Temple of Sennistein and was wondering maybe I could get some mage xp while I'm doing it.

 

Yea it's the same xp + mage xp. Don't forget goldsmith gaunts.

magic xp yes smith xp no smithing gaunts adds more xp and gold is 56 odd xp with gaunts if wanan boost mage also have sacred clay stuff

 

But it's the same as long as I use gauntlets. I'll get the 56 xp while super heating with them as opposed to the 22.5 xp. Thanks guys I just wanna make sure I can get the most out of super heating lol

 

I just superheated 5k gold ore yesterday for smithing exp, and yes, you get magic exp aswell It is roughly 110exp in total per superheat, so something like 55 smithing exp and 55 magic exp. Not too bad!

EDIT: This is assuming that you are wearing your goldsmithing gauntlets of course.
