Would You?

NOTE: This is not a debate, I am just here to listen to your opinions. If somebody says something, please just accept that it's the opinion of another and don't start arguing about it. Thank you

Nowadays, we see a lot of debates going on against Christianity and other religions.
And in my opinion, this is because we (religious people) are not acting the way that we should be. For example, it is common to hear a story of a religious leader, such as a priest or a minister sexually assaulting younger ones.

Not only that, but we see people like the the followers at Westboro, Anders Behring Breivik (Norway terrorist), and other seemingly-crazy people who picket with signs with "God hates you" and "God like killing the soldier" written on them.

As a Christian, I am frustrated and disappointed at the people above who blacken the face of my religion. I disapprove of them a lot more than anybody else.

I wish that people would start acting like a Christian. People helping each other out, being good Samaritans, living by the Bible, and etc.

TL;DR?
So if we had a better influence on everybody here and were model citizens, would you reconsider your thoughts on the religion(s)?

OT: No, I just believe in things that can be proven by science ( or things that have serious backing in the scientific community, though not proven ). I prefer not to believe in something ( Trying not to start some religion debate here, just answering the questions ) that you will never have any contact with.

Though these people deserve to be wiped off the earth in my opinion, it wouldn't change my view on religion at all.

Never. Wake up and look over seas. All of the problems are rooted back to religion one way or another.

Religion does cause a lot of problems I will admit, still there's nothing wrong with believing in something just so long as you don't limit your lifestyle by not doing certain things because your religion forbids it.

 

no I wouldn't...I don't base my actions on fairy tales...some people might need religion to do good, but I only need to know that it's good to do it...for example...I have strong urges to kill people, because I would enjoy it...I don't because it's wrong..

To the above post, they ARENT fairy tales! God is the creator of everything, he sent his son down to save us all from our sins, he loves us all even if you dont think its real!

I like that spirit you have there, but those types of comments are also one of the reasons why people do not like the religion.

this site gives me numerous ideas as to how un-Christian a lot of self professed Christians sound, and also gives me a reason not to reevaluate my religion
