today at the wildlife place i volunteer at we ot a call to go rescue a Cooper's hawk and the poor thing had a leg hanging on by a little skin, the other leg was split in two and you could see the bones. To top it all off the poor little guy had maggots in a cut on his tail feathers. Needless to say he is going to have to be put down as soon as possible...i am so sad for that little fellow
