LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington County School District Three is investigating after a first-grader complained about having to rub her teacher's feet.
Stampede!

C'mon — what's not to like?
Hoof it over to Facebook to join the weird news herd.
A district representative said the district has launched a full investigation, appropriate action has been taken and the situation has been rectified. But that's not nearly enough for some parents.
"She admitted to the children rubbing her feet," said Brenda Norris. "Just the thought of it.... They immediately sent her home, but she's back there today."
Norris is far from satisfied after her 6-year-old granddaughter, who is in first grade, came home from Batesburg-Leesville Primary School last Wednesday to say she was "tired of rubbing her teacher's feet."
"'Does she take off her socks and shoes?'" Norris recounted asking. "'Grandma, she wears flip-flops.'"
Norris refused to name the teacher but said she would select students to massage her feet during class time. "My granddaughter has nightmares, she cries," said Norris. "She said, 'I have three wishes, Grandma. One of them was not to go to school today.'"
Outraged, Norris took to Facebook and found at least half a dozen parents who said this also happened to their kids. The district says the situation has been handled. "I don't trust the system at all now," said Norris. "I can't trust the system. I'm afraid for her to go to school."
Norris said the punishment is unacceptable since the teacher still has her job, and her granddaughter's trust has been destroyed. "She was taught to do what the teacher said do," said Norris. "And the teacher wants her to rub her feet? She told me, 'Grandma, you didn't tell me if I touch someone else, to tell you.' That broke my heart."

Git 'er done. I was never above manual labor.

If I was in that class I would die, I DO NOT like feet.

Americans for you, In Scotland I recall someone telling a s1 (first graders) to stop talking so he threw a chair a the teacher and tryed to headbutt um

lmaoo making kids rub her feet i dont know how kids would actually listen and do that

They are really overreacting.. It doesn't sound that bad. I mean it was wrong of her to do that, but the grandma scared and crying is a bit much. All she had to do was talk to the principal and threaten to make it public. That would have settled everything really fast.

I just read the title and....well let's say my head is a couple miles away from where it's suppose to be.

To top things up when I clicked the topic it went straight to this guys post - with a name that just makes everything even more ironic and hard to not have a straight "face".

Anyways all I have to say to this situation is has she ever heard of a message specialist/messaging machines? Too cheap I guess. Poor kids get em' outta her class.

Now lets pretend the teacher was male, still with the same, seemingly innocent intent. People would be furious, social norms and all.

How I would love to be that 6 year old.

Only joking, teacher is a bit dumb, obviously gonna get sacked or some shit, but seriously, why not just buy one of them feet jacuzzi things?:b

I would have never done that. I do not like feet. And I agree they are overreacting. It's not like she got molested.

I am kind of torn here between two opinions... First of all, I think the Grandma and everybody else is overreacting. It is not like the teacher did anything sexual to the children, even though getting them to rub her feet is inappropriate (although in a different way).

I also think its fucked up that the teacher would even ask the kids to do that though. I am trying to imagine if any of my teachers asked me to sit there and rub their feet.. I would definitely be a little disturbed to say the least. I think the teacher should be disciplined but not necessarily lose her job over this. IMO its a little weird and disturbing, but I would not feel that my child's safety was threatened or anything like that.

Well from the teachers standpoint, I'm sure the little kids didn't have the strength to give a really good foot massage with their tiny hands and such.

The grandma is taking it to far; the fact that she kept her job.. wow.
