    testing on rats.

What do you guys think, do you think testing say THC on a rat and comparing how it behaves to a human. I don't think its accurate because rats minds arent near as complex as ours and we process things differently so in turn have different reactions and thought processes .

"do you think testing say THC on a rat and comparing how it behaves to a human"

ANYWAYS....I think that you CAN compare those two and people DO. Why? Because labs use rats for experiments (cancers/diseases/drugs). So I think it would be pretty accurate.

    testing on rats.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Its a good starting point to research so why not?

Really OP? You've done enough scientific research to be 100% sure on the statement you made?

i think i was just a little to gone when i tried to relay what i was asking. im not stating anything. Im just wondering about what you guys think when the test anything on rats/or other animals, that deal with behavior , not just thc and yes they do inject rats with it but thats not the subject of my question.

    testing on rats.

The point of rats is to make sure nobody dies. Most of what is dangerous for a rat is dangerous for a human too, and vice versa.

You can also do some preliminary tests on them, but as soon as it starts working, you move on to chimps.

Rats have a very close brain chemistry to humans, also, there's a lot of them.

    ^.

They can be bred easily, specifically for what they are going to be used for. Its easy, and cost effective.

Im sorry but i would rather lose 5 million rats, and find out how to stop some devastating disease.

    ^^
Also there aren't as many animal rights hippies against rats (Possibly because if you let all the rats loose in their vicinity about 30% of them would puke and the other 70% would run screaming and start stamping on them)

    This

If they do test THC on rats like they do cancer drugs then I really dont have a problem they need to be tested for ethical reasons before being allowed on the open market or for general use.

    testing on rats.

Testing on rats is moral and should be done.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26, NIV)

    testing on rats.

if they test THC on rats, I want to be a rat tbh..

But seriously...it's a rat, its not like it was going to have a great life anyways, why not let it contribute something to science? If it helps cure a disease, I'm all for it.

Testing on rats has no moral complications to me.

    1 Human Life > 1 Million Rats.

    testing on rats.

Sorry for not being specific, but I've heard that humans and rats are over 99% identical, thus making them the perfect test subjects. I've also heard of them being referred to "pocket humans."

Were you asking for a debate related to morals?

We eat meat, we wear fur, we test on animals. I don't support it all, but the human race is superior, and i suppose it's better than testing on humans.
