I know it says no ipone sythe app. But this is not fully about the app but more about donating. How about sythe makes a forum app with some in-app addons of $25 $50 $100 donator ranks so that people can buy ranks from itunes.

    Thoughts?

Is it possible to chargeback with this? Is it possible to actually take up the money, or are you entitled to spend it on iTunes?

I need to know these things, before I can answer this.

It really wouldn't be worth it. Apple takes about 30% of any sale.

Say you get banned. You don't plan on coming back, charge everybody - including Sythe - back and hope to win a couple of disputes so you have some money. That's how a scammer would do it, at least.

Ì agree with this. Most people will be able to do PayPal or RSGP, there's no real need to get more options that people barely use.

Why would people use itunes over paypal? Itunes requires either a debit card or that you buy a pre-paid card. Last time I checked you can use a debit card on paypal and you can also purchase a pre-paid card called Moneypak. And paypal does not take 30%.

The number of people who use other payment methods (ex: paypal, credit card) greatly outnumber the people who use iTunes, and I doubt that anybody on Sythe would use it, either.

Doing this isn't worth the trouble IMO

Exactly what Bee said, and the fact that Apple are total Nazis about getting paid. They take 30% of all the income from the app.

Awful idea in my opinion.. If you have an iTunes gift card or something, just simply sell it on Sythe then use that to donate.

You can charge back on itunes, I know I've done it. Not for scamming though, it was because I bought an app and it wouldnt download.

There's a great risk of chargebacks if the itunes credit is purchased with a credit card. Also, someone would have to absorb the ~30% fee Apple takes.

    No support.

horrible idea if you ask me.
    1) Would be too much effort compared to the very few who would use it to donate.
    2) The risk of chargebacks is too big.
    3) The idea of an app would be good tho.

I'll take itunes GCs at an absurd rate. It would be best if you sold it.
