Since Jagex removed bots, lots of farmers put gold on mules, aka f2p noobs..

by setting a quota on gold traded on f2p accounts ie. 25k it forces gold farmers or any individual in general to buy membership..

Runescape is gonna be the next WOW and i know it. if they dont make it p2p its gonna be fucking impossible to play the game.

 

So jagex now make profit from mule accounts too -.-

 

Making profit on those who break the rules thats alright with me. Tbh Rs is become better everyday since 25th november.

 

ehhh they are trying to stop mules from xfering the gold on them? the new f2p account rules are a bit of a joke though, been f2p staking on my staker until it gets mems again and the limit is already 40k a match in an hour of boxing 1 person continuously i had only won 15 of 20, so about 20 matches an hour, its only 800k an hour in first place, and now if you have a freind who starts playing f2p you cant throw them their first mil which i normally do.

 

there is no trade-limit on older accounts right?

 

did you even take the effort to read it? The limit will only be applied to newly made accounts..

 

At times I am abit blind, didnt see the 'new' bit. My bad, no need to start hating.

As someone said the game is going to be P2P only or they're going to make it so hard on F2P players trying to stop RWTers that it is going to be too hard to play F2P.

 

this is not being money hungry this is called trying to stop rwter's.

 

Cause the average person like you are me can consistently dish out 10 AUD per month of membership on a character to receive benefits which were considered free before ?

Runescape doesnt looking appealing for new players anymore. Jagex are literally forcing an individual for one down payment 'ie. membership' to get benefits..

its gonna turn into other shit mmorpgs.

Well, in hope that prices will increase in a few weeks many people are continuing to play to make a small profit..

I am sure 99% of the RS community would bot if you could. I used to play RS legit back in 05/06, it was slow and drained life outta me... I found out of bots around mid 10 and made almost triple what I did in 05/06 and had much more fun..

Not everyone bot's to rape the economy. Its not like rs is a fun exciting game all the time...

You dont realise how depressing wcing is... im literally hitting a tree, waiting 10 mins, getting a full invo, running to a bank and repeating..

I do this while watching a movie, as well as fixing up the acc if it dc's or a random pop's up.

Yes bots fucked up the economy, but they actually kept the game alive...

 

No, that would be bad business practice if they continue doing this. You see they have ads that make them just as much, if not more, than the membership does. So if they drive off all of the free players they will have to charge more for membership which will drive away even more of their memberbase.

I wouldnt be surprised if they added ad's for members too. Theres two large spots along the side of my screen which can be filled up easily..

Jagex will probably introduce quaterly or yearly memberships through paybycash options... and generate revenue that way too. with a small discount 1-2%..
