Java RPG thing - Please rate

So I made this, it's my second attempt at an RPG, tell me what you think, not 100% finished yet, but everything is functional so All I need to do is add Quests and dialogues and cities, and shops don't work yet that's all I need to add



100% drawing and coding all done by me

 

Thats so sick... I wish I could make stuff like that. The hit count is probably x2 the speed it needs to be. But nice job!

 

Yah I sped it up to half a second per hit for the video

 

All you need to add? From my experience, adding those are the hardest part.

 

They're pretty easy, anyway I have the shops working already you just can't buy anything from them yet, so it should only take a few minutes, I just haven't gotten around to it yet

Looks good, can see you put in quite a bit of effort.

My only suggestion is, when you are drawing out the images - have a linked list that orders the objects (not the background obviously) by the bottom x-coordinate. By doing this, you can draw them out in that order so if you go "behind" an object it will look as if you're going behind it.

I couldn't do that now I already have it coded so that it paints like:
HuD
Objects
Player
NPCs
Map

 

So you take your list of

Code:

Objects
Player
NPCs

Put them all in a single list then sort it by that bottom y-coordinate (not x it was late last night for me).
