Monsters to Dharok on?

I'm wondering what npc's do little damage and have high HP. I want to make use of the dharok set effect, which means having very low hp while hitting high. I can use overhead protection prayers if necessary. Thanks.

Monkey guards are the best for dharoking, just make sure they don't trap you so you can't get to an altar. They also regenerate hp when they get low enough, which means they can be harder to kill. But with dharoks you'll hit high enough to not have to worry about that.

 

I would try like the above have stated monkey guards or fight caves, if your just looking for exp and not max hits could also try bandits.

Monkey guards are the best. No one has mentioned the spider Jagex added though, it poisons you through melee pray.:s You always have to watch your HP now incase you are poisoned!

 

That little spider is such a pain in the ass! It loses aggression towards though after about 15-20 minutes though. But until then, I wouldn't let your HP drop too low if you are going to be training at the monkey guards.

i would personally say yaks. But if you have decent def then ankous can be good with b2p stay there forever and eat peaches without healing to much lp 80hp per peach

 

I just re-read the responses in here and realized that nobody went into specifics for training at monkey guards. If you choose to Dharok there instead of the spot I showed you, the most effective strategy is to go to the dig site with a trowel, use it on the barrel, and fill up as many empty vials as you can carry with the liquid in there (forget what its called). Then take it up to the archaeologist in the exam center and get him to identify the strange liquid.

It turns into nitroglyceride or something like that, which you can drop and do massive damage on yourself. If you bring quite a few vials of this stuff up to Ape atol along with your super sets, you can use the liquid to safely get yourself down to below 100hp for the maximum Dharok set effect

Could use DH at Black Demons while using Protect Melee.

But, if you are looking for XP, that probably wouldn't be a great place.

 

I am not sure if i am talking about the same place, but the monkey guards at monkey madness, theres an alter there too, so u can use alter to refill pray and keep at it for a long time, this was the old school way to get 99 str (really popular around 07-08) not sure about now

Yes this is the exact same place I am talking about. The altar is great for recharging prayer. I just added in a tip on how to stay below 100HP, so that you can hit your absolute maximum with the Dharok set effect. And because you don't need prayer pots, you can fill up your inventory with nitro vials instead and use them to stay below 100HP the whole time.

TIP: - DO NOT drop below 100HP with the nitro until 15-20 minutes after arriving there, when the little spider has gone unaggressive to you. If you drop down to like <100 HP, for example 40 hitpoints, the spider can poison you without you noticing and then after 1 hit of poison your dead. I always wait until he is unaggressive, and then I start using the nitro. Bringing a super anti poison is a very smart idea aswell. Repeat this process everytime you leave to bank and come back.

TIP: - Also, its always a good idea to bring 1 or 2 prayer potions with you in your inventory, despite the altar. The reason being that it is possible to sometimes get cornered between the monkeys and the walls, and get stuck. If this happens, you will sometimes be unable to reach the altar in time and can be very dangerous if you are low prayer, as it will surely drop to 0 and you will die.

 

Wouldn't the antipoison totem from daemonheim prevent from getting poisned by the spider at monkey guard?
