He has no basis to say that, he's repeating incorrect information. Valve doesn't care if you sell your account, they don't lose any money. You should censor your ID if you're selling an older steam account and you don't want google to cache a hit for it on this site. You don't have an older account though, so you're fine.

This is a blackmarket subforum because the vast majority of the accounts here were stolen at one point in time, not because it says in the Steam subscriber agreement that you shouldn't sell Steam accounts. This forum would still be here regardless of whether that stipulation or any other was in place. The "rules of steam" mean nothing here.

Those rules in the subscriber agreement are also enforced by Valve. Valve doesn't care if you sell your account, regardless of whether they want you to or not, so who is going to punish you for selling an account? Even if a Valve employee were to see this thread, it wouldn't matter. That employee would have no way of verifying the person advertising an account is actually in possession of it and would appropriately do nothing.

 

You'll get no more than $15 for this account. Luckly $25ish.
