    Quick question/discussion about RID:

Do you think that they will remain strong and beat Jagex's anti-botting measures? OR do you think that Jagex will be able to successfully get rid (no pun intended) of them and if so, how?

Thanks for the Response! :). How do you think Jagex will go about doing away with them?

Unless they sue, they won't stop RID.
Even if they sue, it would be pretty difficult as they don't modify or technically "use" their client.

RiD recreates human behavior, as long as a human can't be detected, RiD can't be detected. Simple as that.

Suing would be difficult and an overall waste of money on Jagex's part, as nothing about RiD is illegal, and since 98% of RiD botters are paying rs members, and have been so for years, thus giving Jagex revenue, which means Jagex is technically gaining money from us.

RiD has been around since 2007, becoming undetectable in August of 2008, and we still have had ~35 bans since August 2008 out of 500,000 hours botted over a course of 3 years. Still 0 bans out of everyone following guidelines.

As long as a human can play rs, so can RiD. Live long RiD <3

That is what I have heard. Hard to sue something that simply moves a mouse on your screen.

I agree. I don't like goldfarmers and I love how they can't farm with RID  ! I like using RID while doing my homework and occasionally looking up at the screen.

Lets be honest, they say its to stop gold farmers but really it's there to maximize their revenue. If they really cared about the game they wouldn't make a bot in the first place.

That is what I was thinking. Giving someone the skills to make the money without them having to do the work is just as bad as just making them gold.

my problem with RiD is that you basically have to "rent" the bot. you never own it.

Actually the whole point of having to buy hours as opposed to a one time fee is that RiD hosts 4+ bot servers in various locations which each cost him $100-200 a month so somewhere in the range of $400-800 per month is spent on hosting servers. If he made it a one time payment he would start losing money every month and wouldn't be able to keep the server and website up.

Some see it as a downside I see it as a good thing, it comes out to 8 cents an hour, helps effectively deter goldfarmers, it covers server costs, and the whole reason for the servers is for the blackbox security which I am rather fond of.

I guess everyone sees it differently, a 14 year old in highschool without a job would definitely see it as a downside, where as a 20 year old who is employed might not care as much and so on. There is always simba though, I hear they have an up and coming community.

Also, think about it, do you really use most bots after you've gotten 99? You pay about the same per 99 as you would with other bots, it's just in a different form.
