Reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving.

Well, I'm not going to make a huge list, but here's a bit to put it in perspective.
While most of you are at home enjoying a nice home cooked meal with turkey and dressing, I will be in a tent, deployed, pouring water into an MRE heating pouch to be able to eat my turkey substitute hot, and as I finish, I will reach over, grab my rifle, and lay down on the ground to replace my partner, who laid in the same spot to pull guard while I ate mine, and I will now pull guard so he can eat his.
Yes, most of you are fortunate to have a safe home to eat home cooked meals, be thankful.

Once again, to all who think I am complaining, I AM NOT. I love my lifestyle and I joined because I wanted to serve and protect, and I enjoy doing it, I am simply pointing out that those who ARE ungrateful should not be, as many people have it much worse.

I already had my thanksgiving dinner here in canada...I was homeless for 2 years..I would have much rather been in the fucking army then homeless tbh...

You chose to be there, so don't complain...

@Realsies, I have been homeless before, there are plenty of shelters that will take you in, stop complaining.

You shouldn't complain about it unless you were forced to join the military due to family poverty. It's still your fault if you didn't work hard in school. Also, many third war countries have no food at all.

On the other hand, all the haters think they're cool because they're flaming America. Stfu, America may not be the best country, but it is definitely one of the best.
